The role is for an experienced developer to develop user interfaces in Flex working within multi-skilled scrum teams. The core architecture is being developed in Flex using the Parsley framework and LCDS for data streaming. The remaining technical stack is Java, Oracle and SQL server.
Development practices are Scrum/Agile. There is a strong emphasis on quality and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all code is scalable, well designed, and maintainable and unit tested before release.
The role will involve:
• Analysing business requirements
• Designing solutions
• Writing code
• Implementing automated tests
• Contributing towards release and iteration planning
• Liaison with dedicated QA teams to ensure all tests are completed
Requirements:
The candidate must have the following skills:
• Clean coding skills.
• Excellent problem solving ability.
• Enthusiasm for agile development (Scrum, XP, etc.)
• Knowledge of design patterns and refactoring techniques.
• Fluency with source control systems (Subversion, Git)
• Experience with build tools and continuous integration ( e.g. Hudson) - mention whichever / if any other used
• Experience with project and issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA) - mention whichever / if any other used
• A working knowledge of relational databases (preferably Oracle)
• Experience with unit testing and automation testing frameworks (FlexUnit, QTP, RIATest, etc.) - mention whichever / if any other used
• Experience of development in Flex
• Knowledge of the Parsley framework - mention whichever / if any other used
