Software Quality Engineer

Duties and responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, debugs moderately complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
• Develops and executes software test plans.
• Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
• Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
• Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
• Design, code and execute automated test scripts.
• Conducts functional and test process consulting and coordinates testing groups.
• Documents and tracks product testing results.

• May conduct training on use of automated tools and processes.

Main skills, abilities and knowledge:

• B.S. degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing software applications
• Automated test tool experience (FitNesse, QTP, Load Runner)
• Knowledge of relational database
• Scripting and programming skills would be a plus.
• Very good command of English both spoken and written
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
