IT Supervisor (Infrastructure Operations & Services)

The IOS supervisor leads a group of people and delivers quality, timely solution components and/or services. Roles include team management, solution components or services delivery, methodology and tools, mainly internal communication and limited budget responsibility.

Responsibilities:

- organize the work of a group based on responsibility matrix – monitor, analyze and report activities (regularly and timely) – report periodically to IT management about progress & issues – measure delivered products and services according service level agreement – ensure quality of group output documents to internal/external partners – plan and assign resources based on priorities, objectives and capabilities – prepare, propose and execute approved training plan – maintain adequate/equal contact with all team members (local and remote); favor remote staff in time/communication allocation – manage periodic staff meetings and progress reviews – make sure committed deliveries are executed in time and with quality – deliver in time, in budget and with quality according assigned responsibility – investigate and promote applicable technologies within defined domain – contribute in defining and describing methodologies, tools, standards within and for adjacent organization groups – encourage and control use of selected tools & standards – maintain technical relationship with vendors – spend and control within approved limits – assist group manager in preparing and reporting spending – lead and manage team across different geographical regions – negotiate SLAs with Customers and monitor the effectiveness of the services delivered – define the processes, procedures or all interaction with IOS Service Group – represent service group when decisions are made about process changes – monitor the effectiveness of IOS Service Group processes and make recommendations for improvement – coordinate cross-functional and cross-departamental projects as they arise – provide relationship management of IT vendors and outsource partners – prioritize service improvements requests and identify gaps for future functionality

Requirements:

* university degree in computer science or similar * 5+ years of experience in managing personal computing, servers and networks support teams * proven ability to motivate and lead people * ability to direct efforts of others in remote locations in different time zones * proven skills in: conflict management, written communication, verbal communication, presentations, financial calculations, developing quality and comprehensive business cases, delegation, coaching & development, performance objective setting/reviewing, human resource planning, MS Office/MS Project, decision making, control and follow-up, organizing and planning * must be a team player.
