Business Support System Specialist (Jira)

in Business Platforms Development Team

We are an international team taking care of OpusCapita's internal tools and systems serving as essential daily work aids across the organization. Currently, we are supproting:

ServiceNow (ITSM tool),
SalesForce (Sales and CRM tool)
Successfacctors (HR system)
Zefort (contract management tool)
Hubspot (Marketing tool)
EduBrite (internal LMS)
Atlassian products (R&D and Product Management tool and knowledge base)

Our job is to deliver the best possible user experience, help optimize internal ways of working and support global processes. All of that in alignment with organizations business needs and objectives.

In short: We are making users life easier by helping them to work smarter with the proper tools for the job.


You will be serving as a system specialist, administrator and support focusing on Atlassian products:

Jira software
Jira Service Desk

Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining and improving the system by:
Serving as assigned systems internal expert and key user;
Evaluating and applying relevant features to improve systems setup and functionality;
Supporting internal stakeholders in utilizing the system to the best of its capabilities;

Supporting the assigned business support system as an admin user by:
configuring the system to comply to the related business processes;
cooperating in designing and running the end-to-end related business processes in the tools;
technical support to end users;

Creating, updating and maintaining system documentation and user instructions;
Providing needed input to related trainings for system users;
Compiling a admin/key user documentation and instructions knowledge base for system admins, followed by internal teams training to build teams competence;
Communication and cooperation in technical work with related vendors;

previous experience in system support;
previous experience and understanding of Atlassian products( especially Jira Software, Jira Service Desk and Confluence);
logical and systematic thinking;
ability to operate in a team as well as independently;
good understanding of business processes and how they translate to business tools;
ability to understand and produce technical documentation;
ability to prepare clear instructions for users;
understanding of visualising and building workflows;
ability to review requirements for testability and clarity;
good problem analyzing and solving skills with attention to details;
ability to learn fast;
hands on attitude;
good verbal and written communication skills in English
good communication skills and ability to exchange knowledge;


Atlassian certification in relevant products;
working with system integrations;
understanding of databases;
scripting skills;
working experience in relevant field;
understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business processes (certification as a plus);
understanding of web application functionality and graphic design;
education in IT or other applicable field;
